Kernow Boats
Good workmanship can elevate even the most time-honoured craft to new levels. Kernow Boats demonstrates this emphatically when building Cornish pilot gigs and ores in their Richmond upon Thames workshop. We headed down to meet its owner and master gig builder Patrick Bird, and visit the rowing club he’s set up to reintroduce Cornish pilot gig racing as a sport.
